Ranked 19th in qualifications. Joined Alliance 5 with Team 3501 and Team 3255. Team member Demir Goksu was a Semi-Finalist for the FIRST Leadership Award.

Ranked 13th in qualifications. Selected for Alliance 3 alongside Team 5805, captained by Team 5817 Unirex. Reached finals and placed 2nd overall. First competition within the District model for FIRST.

Ranked 21st in qualifications. Did not make elimination matches but experimented with B-bot and connected with teams at the event.

2025Houston, TX

First time at Champs. Bot's camera system experienced issues during qualifications and didn't make eliminations. Learned immensely from the experience and inspired by innovative teams.

Idaho Regional 2025

2025Boise, ID

Placed 4th in qualifications. Captain of Alliance 3 with Team 3006 & Team 6358, made semifinals, placed 3rd overall. Qualifying for first ever World Championships.

Los Angeles Regional 2025

March 13-16, 2025Los Angeles, CA

Placed 25th individually. Made quarterfinals as first pick of Alliance 3 with captain Team 696 and Team 6658.

Placed 4th individually. Made semi-finals. Captain of Alliance 3 with teams 2659, 4201, and 6647. B robot was 3rd pick of Alliance 8 (captain team 980, with 3128 and 4415). Motor burned out during semis.

Brought A bot. Placed 14th. 2nd pick for Alliance 6 captained by team 3663, with teams 2811 and 1156. Lost in Round 3, Match 10 of eliminations.

Placed 1st in qualifications. Captain of 1st seed alliance with team 1538 The Holy Cows, team 599 Robodox, and backup team 6479 AzTECH Robotics. Reached finals after lower bracket victories. Finished 2nd overall.

At Central Valley: placed 9th of 38, 5th seed alliance captain. Drive motors failed in elimination match. At Los Angeles: placed 3rd of 44, 3rd seed alliance captain. Won first elimination match via superior auto, then eliminated.

At the Glendale District Event 2026, Team 1148 won the Excellence in Engineering Award for our exceptional robot design, build quality, and engineering excellence throughout the competition.

At the Hueneme Port District Event 2026, Team 1148 reached the finals and placed 2nd overall alongside Alliance 3 partners Team 5805 and captain Team 5817 Unirex, earning the Finalist Award.

At the Idaho Regional 2025 competition, 1148 won the Engineering Inspiration Award for our initiatives to inspire passion for STEM and engineering within our own team and wider community. This award qualified us for our first ever World Championships.

At the Los Angeles Regional 2025 competition, 1148 won the Innovation in Control Award for our unique and modular controls system and programming.

At the Aerospace Valley Regional 2024 competition, 1148 won the Autonomous Award for our consistent high performance during the autonomous portion of our matches.

Los Angeles Regional 2024

At the Los Angeles Regional 2024, 1148 received the Quality Award for the excellence of our robot’s design, functionality, and workmanship. This was our first machine-based award.

Hueneme Port Regional 2024

At the Hueneme Port Regional 2024, 1148 won the Judges’ Award for demonstrating the principles of FIRST and displaying positive attributes such as effort, performance, and dynamics throughout the entire competition. This was our team’s first ever award.

Pre-revival

2003-2016

Team 1148, then the Wafflebots, competed in FRC from 2003 to 2016 and laid the foundation for the robotics culture that continues at Harvard-Westlake today.
